Throughout your homework problems, or perhaps simply problems of interest over the weekend, it can be helpful to have a way to visualize functions as solutions. From mapping electric potentials to getting an idea of vector field behavior, there are a number of free online resources to the rescue!

Many of you may already use wolframalpha.com. It is a popular site, helpful for expanding infinite series and calculating tricky integrals. Wolfram Alpha is also excellent for graphing functions.

In case you haven't heard of it, desmos.com also has a graphing calculator. It is definitely not Mathematica, but it works for visualizing functions, and it excells in superimposing multiple functions at a time.
