Lookout Observatory

University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNCA) is almost finished with Lookout Observatory! Seen in the picture above are Dr. Brian Dennison (left) and Judy Beck (middle) of the UNCA physics department with Bernie Arghiere (right) of the Astronomy Club of Asheville. Students and the public will be able to map out star spectra, take CCD images of planets, nebulae, and galaxies, and further enjoy their galactic neighborhood at a convenient location on campus.
